A great hat starts with great fit. Using our measuring guide below, follow simple steps to take your head measurements from home. We also consider your head shape and facial structure to ensure a flattering, comfortable result.
Make it Yours
Make it Yours
Add your personal touch—select a hat band, include your name and year on the sweatband, and share any custom requests. Then, place your order and let us handcraft something made to last.

The Right Fit
- Place the tape measure flat in the middle of your forehead.
- Holding the tape measure in place, wind the tape measure around your head, just above the top of the ears at the position that a hat normally sits.
- Ensure that the tape lies midway on the occipital bone.
Measure how you prefer to wear hats: Tighten or loosen the tape to the desired fit of the hat – but not too much or the hat won’t fit. - Write down the measurement.
- And, for accuracy, measure again.

Measure your Head Shape
To determine what type of oval your head is, consider how your current hat fits.
If your:
- Hat fits tighter front to back or is loose on sides, your head is a Long Oval
- Hat fits tighter on sides, and more often than not, the brim flips up in the back, your head is a Round Oval
- No pressure points, your head is a Regular Oval
Let us know of any special fit issues; we are more than happy to help you determine what size and shape are best for your head. We can create hats of any size, however please keep in mind that undersize or oversize hats may incur additional charges.
